It is not only skiers in Tatranská Lomnica in the High Tatras but also those on Mt. Chopok that have their own ski arena which offers professional slalom gates with a timekeeping system. Competitive skiers can try the new attraction on a 300-metre-long course on the northern side of Mt. Chopok in the area of Priehyba – Záhradky. It is marked by safety nets and the very well visible timekeeping system is located in the finish area which every skier has to go through. All registered skiers can watch their rides in the ski arena in Jasná on the skiline.cc portal. “The innovation is great news not only for users of the international Skiline platform but also for the wide public who want to feel like professional racers on the slope or just have fun with friends by comparing measured times. The course in the ski arena is build so that beginners, advanced skiers and well as professionals have no problems to complete it. And who knows… another skiing star may grow up just between these gates, on the worldclass Mt. Chopok,” said Matej Hulej, the director of the resort of Jasná Nízke Tatry.
