“Ski Challenge 2016 is based on last year´s positive experience when our best skier completed 4,142 kilometres on Tatra slopes and became by right the king on the skis. We hope more than 10,000 skiers will join our challenge this year and there will be a new king of the slopes who surpasses the above mentioned number of slope kilometres. Those skiers who complete their chosen levels get GOPASS points ascribed to their accounts. These points can be used in the resorts and facilities of Tatry mountain resorts, a.s. (TMR) or when buying products and services at lower prices. At the end of every month, winners of ski passes are drawn in the Ski Challenge competition. This year, we are also looking for the King of Hills, i.e. the best skier who completes the most slope kilometres during the whole winter,“ said Vladimír Šarafín, the business development manager of GOPASS.
The statistics of collected slope kilometres in the Tatars are available for all registered skiers in the GOPASS programme on www.gopass.sk, www.gopass.cz or via the Gopass mobile app. The number of slope kilometres is based on how many times individual skiers pass the turnstiles of cableways in the resorts.
The Ski Challenge is a platform for sharing experiences and statistics of sports activities. In order to use the Ski Challenge, every user must choose a level. Each level is combined with a specific given number of slope kilometres and GOPASS points which need to be collected to complete the level. Every registered skier can choose their level and complete their challenge. By doing so, one automatically takes part in a prize draw and can win attractive prizes.
