The water attraction with two artificial surf waves next to each other is suitable for absolute beginners as well as experienced surfers. A simulator of artificial waves creates a regular water stream on an area 68 m2, with 8.5-metre-long waves. The curved inclination guarantees unforgettable experiences for all surfers with increasing speed while riding on the board. In this way, surfers can repeat and improve their tricks and have more space to enjoy the curves on the water surface. One can surf and swim on the board along the whole length and breadth, from the water jet across the whole surfing area. “Beginners can use help of trained instructors who will be constantly watching their students from two footpaths along the waves. Body boarding, i.e. surfing with the body on the board offers a possibility to lie or swim on the board, jump from it or onto it. Small children always begin to learn surfing in the middle of the wave in the company of an adult person or a professional instructor. Surfers decide how they want to approach the wave. This means they can begin on the top, in the middle or at the beginning. As the water jet is three metre wide and the hydraulic curve has a large radius, every surfer can turn from the left to the right. What makes this investment really special is the fact that surfers are constantly kept on the water, even if they find themselves on the edge of the wave,“ said Peter Huraj, the project manager of the water park development.
The atmosphere of the whole Hawaii complex is completed by thematic interior elements – stones, green vegetation, a Polynesian catamaran, beach houses, surfboards used as background decoration. A photo wall of the surf wave will be added during the summer along with a stylish Hawaiian Tiki Bar, which will be serving mixed exotic drinks. “With this investment, we have completed the atmosphere of a genuine seaside holiday in Tatralandia and increased the offer of attractions in the region of Liptov. We hope we will be able to fulfill the expectations of the community soon as well and the wave will be used not only by the wide public but also by sportsmen and keen fans of this adrenalin activity so that they can train their balance technique there. If you do not have time for a long holiday and would like to treat your children to a great water world all year round, Tatralandia offers flawless amusement on an area of 14 hectares. There are 14 indoor and outdoor pools with salt, clear and thermal water, 26 water slides and more than 300 attractions where nobody will get bored for sure. The kids are taken care of by a professional animation team,“ said Jana Kňavová, the brand manager of Aquapark Tatralandia.
