Positive results were reflected on traditional “resort-fillers” of the summer such as the Bear Days, the Tropical party at Tatralandia focused on Polish clients and the Dragon Night on Mt. Chopok. The nationality structure of visitors in the resorts operated by Tatry mountain resorts, a.s. (TMR) did not change during the summer season considerably, the Slovaks are still dominating and are followed by clients from the Czech Republic and Poland. 26 events were prepared in the Tatras and the region of Liptov during the summer. They were focused mainly on families with children but also on Polish clients. “This summer was successful and the turnout is very satisfying for us. We are happy that the Slovaks decided to spend their holidays at home and remained loyal to our mountains and the region of Liptov. Indian summer is knocking on the door and usually guarantees good weather in the mountains, which is ideal for hiking, spending a long weekend or enjoying wellness stays in Tatra hotels with attractive discounts,“ said Bohuš Hlavatý, TMR CEO, about the results.
The hoteliers in the Tatras are satisfied with the summer season as well. “The total occupancy rate of TMR hotels has increased by 7% when compared to the previous year. Grand hotels in the High Tatras as well as the FIS hotel in Štrbské Pleso are still happy about more clients than the hotels in the region of Liptov although there was an 8.5% increase in the latter when compared to the previous year. When speaking about increasing numbers, we are happy about an increased turnout in all stable markets, i.e. in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and Austria, and are especially pleased by a 100% increase of the clientele from Israel,“ concluded Katarína Lukáčová, the director of the hotel segment of TMR.
TMR is going to publish more details on their economic results for the third quarter and nine months of the fiscal year of 2014/15 on Friday 18/9/2015. In order to receive information about TMR automatically via email, please register HERE.
