Although it is a big boom abroad, hotels of this kind are as scarce as hen´s teeth in Slovakia. For a long time, it has been trendy to travel with kids and spend time with them away from home. Various studies prove that the number of families who do so is much higher than fifteen years ago. That is why the Tri Studničky hotel has decided to treat adult clients to relaxation that they deserve.
“We have been inspired to adapt to the Adult Friendly concept by our guests who look for absolute relaxation and peace. So we wanted to meet their requests and offer them more comfort when staying with us,” said Iveta Chovanová, the general manager of the Tri Studničky hotel.

She added that the hotel capacity and overall layout did not enable to provide services for clients of all age groups in a sufficient way. “Amenities for children such a kid´s corner, a playground, activities etc. are missing. By focusing on adults, we will be able to guarantee more peace inside and outside, which our stylish oasis of silence and green vegetation in the embrace of Demänovská dolina is tailored for,” explained Ms. Chovanová.

In Poland, the public did not respond to the Adult Friendly concept positively and talked about discrimination. However, being Adult Friendly does not mean that children cannot enter the hotel. They can but have to accept the same conditions, i.e. there are no kid´s discounts, no kid´s meal portions, no kid´s equipment. “We are absolutely ready to offer other alternatives to clients who travel with children. There are hotels located nearby whose concepts and benefits are focused on families with kids,” commented Katarína Lukáčová, the sales and marketing general manager of TMR hotels.
