The Gopass international online portal has added one of the biggest European ski regions – the Kronplatz resort in the north of Italy to its offer. This means that thanks to Gopass, skiers can enjoy this popular Italian resort at better prices now.
Gopass has been known mainly as a loyalty and online sales channel that offers adventures in mountain resorts, golf resorts, water parks and amusement parks owned or operated by the Tatry mountain resorts company. Gopass, which was awarded by the international “Loyalty Awards” programme in London already in its early years, started to sell ski passes valid in the popular Kronplatz resort in Italy in 2022. The resort offers 118 km of pistes with 30 cable cars and ski lifts. Every customer who buys a ski pass online on www.gopass.travel or through the Gopass mobile app gets a voucher that can be redeemed for a valid ski pass in the resort. This new business cooperation is a signal of a new business strategy of Gopass.
“Our idea is to create an international marketplace where people could buy adventures not only in resorts owned or operated by TMR, but also in resorts of our business partners in other countries. The loyalty system will be part of it, of course, and will reward Gopass members with discounts and other benefits that are planned,” informed Igor Rattaj, the TMR Chairman of the Board.
“Gopass should be a combination of an experiential portal and a loyalty programme. In the online field, we have made a lot of progress and would like to use all experience that we have collected, including a top revenue management and offer it also to third parties. This means that more European resorts should be included in our programme in future and the same applies to attractive leisure time products and adventures that Gopass members can discover at better prices, in a simpler way and comfortably online. Our priority strategy is digitalisation with the best customer experience,” added Matej Lackovič, the Gopass managing director.
In addition to new resorts and products, there are more challenges awaiting Gopass. “We are working on a new web version and want to add more comfort and intuitive interface to the Gopass app, where we want to be in contact with our clients constantly and provide not only the latest updates but also offers tailored to the needs and preferences of users,” explained Matej Lackovič.
Besides the resorts of Jasná, Vysoké Tatry, Špindlerův Mlýn (CZ), Ještěd (CZ), Szczyrk (PL), Mölltaler Gletscher, Ankogel Mallnitz, Innsbruck Muttereralm (all AT) and Kronplatz (ITA), Gopass offers experiences in other resorts as well.
Heiligenblut is located at the foot of Mt Grossglockner in the High Tauern National Park. The endless area with 55 km of pistes and almost no waiting times at cableways is tailored for keen winter sport lovers.
Sillian Hochpustertal can be found in a peaceful region above the Drau river, so to say at the Italian border. There is a cross-country skiing and biathlon centre, freeride terrain, a snowboard fun park with a half-pipe, a sledge trail, a water park and other après ski amusement.
By merging the ski resorts of Kals and Matrei, Karls Matrei Grossglockner – the biggest ski region in East Tyrol was created. It offers everything that a quality winter holiday requires.
The St. Jakob im Defferegental resort is tailored for families with children. Most of 24 km of pistes are suitable for them, but experienced skiers can enjoy a 1-kilometre-long black piste and 5 km of freeride terrain as well.
At the moment, Gopass has more than 2.5 million of customers mainly from Central Europe. The long-term plan of the Gopass management is to expand the programme to more countries and resorts.
