Cable cars in the Mölltaler Gletscher resort will be operating again after 83 days. The ski pistes have been empty since 15th March, when the resort was closed for precautionary reasons to slow the spread of COVID-19. “We are very happy to see that the situation has improved thanks to respecting strict measures and we can announce great news about reopening on 6th June. Our resort is ready to welcome not only tourists seeking relaxation while hiking in the area but also skiers who feel like enjoying unique summer skiing adventures. The whole piste no. 3 will be at disposal and partially also pistes no. 1 and no. 2, which will be narrowed due to snow storing. The panoramic Eissee restaurant will be opened as well so that our customers can refresh themselves and recharge their batteries also on a terrace with beautiful Alpine views,” said Max Gottfried, the resort general manager.

Mölltaler Gletscher used the forced break to complete regular machinery maintenance and to prepare all required measures based on regulations of official authorities in order to guarantee safety and health of customers and employees. The snow storage is twice as big as last year and should be used to ensure good skiing conditions all year round except the hottest period in August. “We hope all our customers, which means tourists as well as skiers, will enjoy unforgettable moments and flawless relaxation with us,” added Max Gottfried.

The new PREMIUM Smart Season Pass offers unlimited skiing in the Mölltaler Gletscher resort from 6.6.2020 to 9.5.2021, skiing  in the neighbouring Ankogel resort and in TOP resorts in Slovakia (Jasná, Vysoké Tatry), the Czech Republic (Špindlerův Mlýn) and Poland (Szczyrk) all next winter long plus various attractive benefits.
