“There will be musicals such as Cats and Wheel, Wheel, One Big Mill, or Vinco the Postman. Hrebienok will be a centre with the highest number of bear friends per square kilometre and we hope the weather will be on our side. All four festival days will be about kids, family relaxation but also education and dance lessons. Children can enjoy 10 animation stations focused on sharp eyes, memory, precision and skilfulness of baby bears. A traditional inflatable climbing wall, rope obstacles such as a bear cage, a climbing net between trees and a station called ´A bear grubbing in a container´ will not be missing. Every kid who brings their teddy bear will get a small present. The organising team of the Bear Days will be focusing on managing the traffic situation. In cooperation with the city and traffic police department, we have prepared 14 parking areas that are marked on a map and published on www.vt.sk and www.regiontatry.sk. There will be mobile temporary traffic signs and the traffic changes in Starý Smokovec will be well marked. The funicular operates regularly from Starý Smokovec to Hrebienok where the festival takes place and people can also walk up along a marked trail or an asphalt road,” informed Lukáš Brodanský from Tatry mountain resorts, a.s.
If all car parks in Starý Smokovec become full, a temporary car park at the Raimund guest house will be used and free shuttle busses will be operating from there to the bus station of Starý Smokovec. For more details about the programme and reduced-rate multiple-day funicular tickets, please visit www.vt.sk.
