Boating will be available on Štrbské pleso every day from 10:00 to 18:00 with the last trip at 17:00 at the latest. The history of boating on the tarn surface at the altitude of 1,345 metres is more than 130 years long. Štrbské pleso is located in a zone of the 5th level of nature protection and all activities, including boating, must follow strict rules. During the season of 2014, there were 2,338 boats that set off for their trips, since the beginning of the renewed history, the total number is 26,461 boats with 61,915 people. And this Saturday 30th May, Štrbské Pleso is hosting the Tatra Children´s Day and the 3rd year of the High Tatras Night Run.
A Mini Tatralandia park is opened on Štrbské Pleso under the ski jumps in the summer season where children can try mini cars, boating or jumping on a bungee trampoline. Tatry Motion sports rentals in Tatra resorts offer mountain bikes as well. Mountain carts and scooters guarantee adventurous experiences when riding down from midstation Štart to Tatranská Lomnica. They are easy to operate and suitable for all age groups. The smallest visitors can enjoy a 100-metre-long toboggan with rubber tubes in the area of Hrebienok. At the funicular station in Starý Smokovec, there is a Mini fun park with a mini train, a trampoline and archery. Families with children can amuse themselves in the indoor park of the Chamois Land in Skalnaté Pleso. And last but not least, the project of the Tatra Wilderness is returning to the High Tatras hand in hand with the summer and opening of tourist trails. Children will be solving mysteries of 7 educational sections with updated adventures and learn tempting stories of their animal friends in Skalnaté Pleso, Lomnické sedlo (saddle), along the main tourist trail that runs to the Waterfalls of Studený potok (brook) and uncover the secrets of Štrbské Pleso.
