Flattach (29th December 2022) Mӧlltaler surprises again! While some resorts in the area are fighting with a lack of snow, the glacier in Carinthia offers great conditions thanks to freezing temperatures and snowmaking on most pistes.
Mӧlltaler Gletscher opened the season with the main piste groomed on 10th November. Within more than a month, more pistes were covered with man-made snow and groomed, so the resort embraced by three-thousanders of the High Tauern is now in top condition. Every skier who is looking for wide and groomed pistes in a unique environment will love the picturesque Carinthia. “Mӧlltal is enjoying real winter now, we have about half a metre of snow on our pistes, the temperatures are well below the freezing point. The conditions have improved to such an extent recently that we could open most of our pistes and cable cars which guarantee genuine Alpine skiing adventures with beautiful views of the surrounding three-thousanders,” said Max Gottfried, the resort manager.
Quality conditions make Mӧlltaler Gletscher a popular practice resort which is used by various ski teams and sports clubs. Ski pistes of all difficulty levels are currently at disposal for skiers on the Mӧlltal glacier – from family blue pistes to black ones for the most demanding skiers. And the complex offer includes the panoramic Eissee restaurant which serves delicious specialities for everybody.
