HIGH TATRAS (November 20, 2023) An exceptional hotel has reached an exceptional milestone. Grandhotel Praha in Tatranská Lomnica has won the “Heritage & Wellness” category of the Heritage Hotels of Europe Award 2023 for the fourth time in a row to become the only hotel that has been dominating the same category since the beginning of the awards tradition.
“We are very grateful for defending the victory for the 4th time as we are the only hotel to have managed it. At the same time, it motivates us to move forward and be the first again next year. Thank you to the whole Grandhotel team, which helps create the best atmosphere for our clients,” said Dominika Biľová, the hotel general manager.
The hotel’s history began in 1905, it was built in Art Nouveau style at the altitude of 850 metres and is the ideal destination to spend a family holiday as well as a romantic getaway.
The only outdoor pool in the High Tatras makes the outdoor section of the hotel wellness centre unique, but the Grand Mountain Spa offers also an indoor pool, relaxation in saunas and massages that use Tatra herbs and forest fruit. And relaxation on an authentic mountain beach overlooking the peaks of the Tatras is truly matchless.
Slovak historic hotels have been very successful as for this year’s evaluation of the Heritage Hotels of Europe (Historic Hotels of Europe) federation because in the competition of more than 140 historic hotels from various corners of Europe, they have won four of seven categories of the Heritage Hotels of Europe Awards 2023.
