Jasná/Špindlerův Mlýn (18th November 2023) – The most prestigious accolade in the ski industry, the World Ski Awards, has once again been awarded to Jasná and Špindlerův Mlýn for 2024. These popular resorts of the TMR portfolio have successfully defended their titles as the best ski destinations in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The World Ski Awards, a global initiative often referred to as the “Oscars of the ski industry,” celebrate excellence and inspire innovation, growth and prosperity. After a rigorous voting process involving industry experts and the public, Jasná and Špindlerův Mlýn have claimed the top titles in Slovakia and the Czech Republic for the 10th consecutive year.
Jasná has been crowned “Slovakia’s Best Ski Resort 2024” from a group of nine nominees. “We deeply appreciate this award and are grateful to the jury and our loyal fans. This year, we would like to express our gratitude again through better events and exciting new additions that will elevate the Jasná experience to new heights. On 30th November, we’re launching the season with a spectacular Winter Jasná Opening featuring Michal David and other stars. The longest floodlit night skiing piste in Central Europe, outside the Alps, will be a major highlight. We’re also focusing on safety enhancements on the pistes. Our goal is to ensure that skiers experience as much as possible and that we can confidently say the title of ‘Slovakia’s Best Ski Resort 2024’ is well-deserved,” said Jiří Trumpeš, the general manager of Slovakia’s largest ski resort.
Jasná offers more than 50 km of well-groomed pistes of all difficulty levels, freeride zones accessible by cable cars, cross-country skiing trails and a dedicated children’s learning area.
In the Czech Republic, the title of “Best Czech Ski Resort 2024” was once again awarded to Skiareal Špindlerův Mlýn, the country’s most popular ski destination.
“This is fantastic news. Every year, we set ourselves new challenges and work hard to meet the expectations of our guests and even to exceed them. After adding the new Přehradní and Lesní pistes last year, we continued to develop them and added the most advanced snowmaking systems there. This year, we’ve introduced new features such as IQOS Pop-Up in Svatý Petr with a cascading terrace, but also the upgraded Champagne Lounge at the beginning of the pistes in Svatý Petr, offering a packed après-ski programme. Snowmaking in the resort is already underway, and we’re all hoping for an even better season than last year. We believe the number seven in the date of the Horalky Špindl Ski Opening, set for 7th December, will be our lucky number,” shared René Hroneš, the resort’s general manager, with a smile.
The French resort of Val Thorens has once again been awarded the “World’s Best Ski Resort 2024”.
