Jasná and Špindlerův Mlýn – the best ski resorts in Slovakia and the Czech Republic based on the World Ski Awards again

Jasná/Špindlerův Mlýn – 24nd November 2022 The winners of the jubilee tenth year of the most prestigious awards in the ski business – World Ski Awards were announced. And resorts operated by the Tatry mountain resorts company couldn’t be missing among the top ones in individual countries again.

Receiving the World Ski Awards means the same for ski resort operators as the legendary Oscars do for film makers. Prestige and a commitment. The best resorts in Slovakia and the Czech Republic defended their titles for the 8th time in a row.

Jasná was announced “Slovakia´s Best Ski Resort 2022” from among 9 nominees. The biggest Slovak ski resort celebrated the great news from Kitzbühel by preparing itself for the beginning of the new season. “We are very happy about the award and will celebrate it together with the season opening and our visitors at our spectacular Winter Jasná Opening. We will do our best to ensure that not only the season beginning but also the whole winter are successful. We will have a new cable car, a new piste with man-made snow, a legendary ski lift on the northern side of Mt Chopok is returning. There is much more and we hope all innovations will be appreciated by our clients. Their satisfaction and also the received award are the biggest commitment for us to keep improving,” informed Jiří Trumpeš, the general manager of the biggest ski resort in Slovakia.

Popular Špindlerův Mlýn was awarded as the “Best Czech Ski Resort 2022”.

“We have accepted the great news with respect and in full force because World Cup races will be the top event of the next winter for us. The World Cup is returning to our resort after four years and we are working intensively to organise everything. We take the chance to organise the most prestigious ski event as well as the Best Czech Ski Resort title as important feedback and acknowledgement of our work so far. But we don’t forget about the future of winter sports in the Czech Republic and our smallest hopefuls either and want to welcome them at the Children’s and Youth Olympics,” informed René Hroneš, the ski resort general manager.

The Swiss ski resort of Verbiere defended its World´s Best Ski Resort title also in 2022.

World Ski Awards ™ is a prestigious award programme and a global initiative whose aim is to point out and acknowledge exceptional projects in the ski industry. Before the awards are announced, general public and various ski business professionals vote for several months and chose the best winter resorts all around the world by evaluating their infrastructure, scope and offer of services. The awards have been given since 2013.
