MUTTERS (24. 1. 2025) The Muttereralm mountain resort in Innsbruck, Austria, has received an important certification recognising its family-friendly facilities and services. As a “Certified Tyrolean Family Ski Region,” it offers comprehensive services tailored to the needs of families. “We are proud to have achieved this accreditation. For our guests, it means the resort meets the highest quality standards in all areas – from pistes and infrastructure to gastronomy and winter sports schools. As a certified Tyrolean family ski region, we guarantee families an unforgettable winter holiday, paying attention to all the small details that bring joy to families with children,” said Jana Vargová, the resort’s sales manager.
In addition to its 15 km of pistes, which include mainly blue runs ideal for families, the resort boasts a complex infrastructure for young visitors, including ski rental services, hotels, gastronomy facilities and ski schools. The certification process assessed all entities within the resort, requiring them to meet an extensive list of criteria. The children’s area offers safe and enjoyable options for young winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy their first skiing experiences. Mascots Maps and Marie accompany children as they take their first steps on skis or snowboards. The “magic carpet” – a covered conveyor belt in the children’s area near the upper station of the Muttereralmbahn cable car is the highlight for many. Parents can comfortably watch their children while relaxing in the on-site experiential restaurant.
Muttereralm resort, owned and operated by the TMR company, is located in a highly accessible area just 10 km from the Innsbruck city centre and can even be reached by tram. The resort offers over 15 km of pistes ranging from 700 to 4,200 metres in length. These cater to beginners as well as more experienced skiers, with the slalom course on Pfriemesköpfel being a particular draw for advanced skiers. Muttereralm also provides excellent snowboarding and ski touring opportunities, even a snow park with creative obstacles. The cable car system includes two 8-person gondolas, one 4-seater chairlift, a ski lift and two conveyor belts for small skiers. The resort is also known for its toboggan runs, which have been awarded the “Tyrolean Toboggan Run Seal.” This distinction confirms the high quality and safety of the runs, which are now officially recognised as some of the best in Tyrol. Guests are guaranteed an unforgettable experience with maximum safety, exceptional standards and meticulous maintenance.
