The time for skiers has finally come. On Friday 10th December 2021 at 6:00pm, the Ještěd ski resort is going to introduce a new night skiing version. After the Nová Skalka piste had finished last year, new energy-saving LED lighting has been added this year. “When compared to night skiing of the past when people were skiing on a 380-metre-long piste, this is a much different level. New night skiing of this quality will not only make our resort more attractive but also add more options how to use it. These days, many people feel like relaxing and have time to do it only after work or after doing homework for school. And that is exactly our aim – to be an alternative for people not only from Liberec but also from further corners,” said Jakub Hanuš, the resort general manager.
Night skiing will be available from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In addition to new aprés-ski, there will be also a ski rental and a ski school at disposal at the weekend. “Skiing and all other services in the resort will be available based on the current anti-covid measures. The basic thing is that every skier must prove that they are vaccinated or covid-recovered when buying ski passes online or offline,” added Jakub Hanuš. For more details of individual measures, please see the resort website: www.skijested.cz.
Ještěd ski passes can be purchased via gopass.travel in advance. They are sold at flexible prices like flight tickets – the sooner you buy, the better is the price. Skiers who want to have a season ski pass can buy PREMIUM Smart Season Passes that offer unlimited skiing in 10 resorts in 4 European countries – Ještěd and Špindlerův Mlýn in the Czech Republic, in Jasná and Vysoké Tatry in Slovakia, in Szczyrk in Poland and in Mölltaler Gletscher, Ankogel and Muttereralm Innsbruck in Austria.
Big benefits of the Ještěd resort include the accessibility by tram from the town of Liberec. Car drivers can use the resort car park which is for free for season ski pass owners.
The Ski Ještěd resort signed a long-term lease with the TMR company, which is active not only in the Czech Republic but also in Slovakia, Poland and Austria. More than CZK 120 mil. have been invested in the new Nová Skalka piste so far and the main aim is to keep increasing the quality and develop offered services.
