“The cooperation agreement with Austrian resorts is a significant turning point in our business activities. Registered GOPASS programme members as well as those who are only planning to register can ski not only in the resorts of the Tatras such as Jasná, Štrbské Pleso, Tatranská Lomnica, Szczyrk in Poland and Špindlerův Mlýn in the Czech Republic but they can choose from an attractive ski pass offer of the Mölltaler glacier and the resort of Ankogel Mallnitz in Carinthia, Austria. We hope that the skiers will take it as an interesting alternative offered along with services they already know. Mölltaler Gletscher is one of 8 Austrian glaciers which offer skiing 10 months per year with a 100% snow guarantee at the altitude of 3,122 metres. We are speculating about investing in the region in future – in the hotel and restaurant segment,” said Bohuš Hlavatý, TMR CEO and the chairman of the Board of Directors.

Heinz Schultz, the operator of the ski resort and executive director of Mölltaler Gletscher commented the cooperation as follows: “We love our family enterprise and want to be successful and keep investing in high-quality services. But this is possible only if we grow reasonably. That is why we welcome the business cooperation with a significant and strong partner such as the Slovak TMR company. We are convinced that this cooperation will be beneficial for our region and Slovak partners will bring new and satisfied clients along.”

The ski resort of Mölltaler Gletscher located in the only glacier area in Carinthia offers ski pistes of various difficulty levels including the most popular, almost 7-km-long FIS downhill piste which is sought after also by various national team members as a great training locality. The season runs from mid June to May at the Mölltaler glacier and the snow cover reaches 450 cm in high season. There are pistes ideal for beginners as well as terrain for experienced freeriders. The attractive Mölltaler Gletscher Express funicular transports 220 passengers to the altitude of 2,234 metres within 8 minutes and surmounts an altitude difference of 1,012 metres on a 4.7-km-long railway line. Non-skiers can enjoy the Ice Palace panoramic restaurant at the altitude of 2,800 metres and breathtaking views of 28 peaks from there. The resort offers ski schools, restaurants, car parks, ski busses, ski rentals, a snow park and a lot of other attractions. It is located 500 km away from Bratislava.

The ski resort of Ankogel Mallnitz (20 km away from the resort of Mölltaler Gletscher) is located in the High Tauern national park between Carinthia and Salzburg. It guarantees great conditions and perfect terrain, mainly above the upper forest line. Ankogel Mallnitz offers medium-difficult ski pistes at the altitudes of 1,287 – 2,636 metres and 12.8 km of pistes. Clients can use common ski passes that are valid in both resorts.
