The Jasná – Nízke Tatry resort has unveiled its first major attraction of the summer season. The Slide Park is a unique outdoor adventure and educational trail of Max the Bear, bringing together active fun, nature discovery and family adventure in the heart of the Low Tatras.
Max the Bear’s Trail features seven themed slides, each inspired by one of the iconic animals that inhabit the Low Tatras – brown bear, red deer, marmot, golden eagle, wolf, lynx and Tatra chamois. Every slide has its own design and character, as well as a different length, ranging from the 6-metre Marmot Slide, through the 21-metre Deer Slide, to the longest of them all – the Golden Eagle Slide – stretching for more than 30 metres. Together, the seven slides have a combined length of 127.63 metres. Each stop along the trail also features educational information boards where visitors can discover fascinating facts about the wildlife of the Low Tatras.
The Slide Park is located between Priehyba and Koliesko. The start of the trail can be reached either on foot or by using the A6 Biela Púť – Priehyba cable car or the A4 Koliesko – Priehyba funicular railway.
“The Slide Park perfectly reflects our vision for Jasná as a year-round destination for families. We wanted to create a place where children can enjoy themselves, challenge one another and spend time outdoors, while also taking home something more – a greater understanding of the unique natural environment that surrounds them. Along the trail they can read about each animal or simply scan the QR codes to watch them come to life on their phones and hear their stories. The entire Slide Park has been built along the route of the former Lienka funicular railway, which has been completely refurbished as part of this project, adding another exciting experience to the resort’s growing summer offer,” said Jiří Trumpeš, Resort General Manager of Jasná.
