It’s finally here! The ski season starts in the Mӧlltaler Gletscher resort on Sunday 5th November.
First, the Schareck 3 piste running from the altitude of 3,122 metres to 2,716 metres including the 6-seater Gletscher-Jet chairlift will be available for the season beginning. Snowmakers are working in other areas meanwhile so that pistes no. 8, 9, 2 and others can be opened soon too.
“The weather at altitudes of 2,800 – 3,122 metres has played with us a bit, but we want to offer the best possible conditions to our skiers. We hope that by using stored snow and new snow that we have managed to make in freezing periods, it will turn out well. The good news is that according to the weather forecast, more frost and snowfall can be expected soon,” informed Max Gottfried, the general manager of Mölltaler Gletscher, the only glacier resort in Carinthia, Austria. In addition to skiing, the whole panoramic Eissee restaurant (2,800 m) will be available as well.
