The Mölltaler Gletscher ski resort kicks off the winter season!

The wait is over — it’s time to hit the slopes! The Mölltaler Gletscher ski resort in Austria will officially open the 2025/26 ski season on Friday, 10th October.

Mölltaler Gletscher boasts the longest ski season of all the resorts in the portfolio of the TMR company. The previous season ended on 8th June, and after just four months, the resort is ready to welcome winter sports fans again. It is also the first resort in the Gopass SKI Season Pass offer to bring joy to eager skiers and snowboarders.

“We’ve just completed three weeks of intensive preparations. Record-breaking snow depots created back in June have been a huge help. We’ve also taken advantage of the cold temperatures to produce additional snow and ensure smooth access from the Eissee restaurant. Snow cannons are being installed on more slopes, and natural snowfall in recent days has further improved the conditions,” said Petr Nikl, Resort General Manager.

Red glacier piste Schareck 3, starting at an altitude of 3,122 metres and stretching over 2 kilometres, will be the first one to open on Friday, 10th October 2025. As snowmaking continues, more pistes will gradually follow, starting with red piste no. 8.

Located in Carinthia, Mölltaler Gletscher is the only glacier ski resort in the region. It offers more than 17 kilometres of groomed slopes and additional terrain for top-quality freeride skiing. Thanks to its excellent conditions, it is a popular training destination for ski clubs and national teams. Like in all TMR resorts, the Gopass SKI Season Pass available at gopass.travel is the ideal way to enjoy skiing at better prices.
