Skiers can carve their first turns and brush up on their skiing techniques already on Friday 4th December, when the piste of Biela Púť on the northern side of Mt. Chopok and piste no. 31 for more demanding skiers called Slnečná on the southern side of Mt. Chopok start to operate. As for the High Tatras, fans of skiing can enjoy the slopes of Interski, Junior and Turistická in the resort of Štrbské Pleso on Friday 4th December.
From 5th December, more than 10 km of ski slopes will be opened on the northern and southern side of Mt. Chopok (no. 2a Májová Rovná hoľa – Priehyba; no. 2b Májová Priehyba Jasná; no. 13 Biela Púť; no. 14 Lúčky; no. 5 Turistická; no. 11 part of the FIS piste; connection no. 43 Turistická – FIS; no. 31 Slnečná and no. 36 Krupová). Other pistes in higher altitudes are getting ready to be opened soon. Latest information about the current situation on the ski slopes and the opening times of cableways are being updated regularly. Visitors of Jasná can look forward to much more than just skiing on Saturday morning. They can enjoy a lot of fun on the snow with a unique BMW xDrive RUN competition and win “100 days with BMW X3” and other attractive prizes. Men and women will be running 3 rounds along a marked track in a mixed category. Among other things, there are various animation games prepared for the whole day, DJ Pablic will take care of music and the all-star Oscar evening begins in the Happy End music club on 09:00pm.
