The Tatry mountain resorts, a.s. (TMR) company signed a contract of sale regarding the Mallnitz Ankogel mountain resort. The contract became effective on 1st July 2025.
TMR originally acquired the Mallnitz Ankogel resort as part of the transaction when purchasing Mölltaler Gletscher – the only glacier resort in Carinthia – back in June 2019. Following the signing of the purchase agreement, a group of Croatian investors is the new owner of Ankogel Bergbahnen BE GmbH. “We are pleased that, in the interest of sustainable operation, we have managed to find investors who are ready to continue with this project together with the local authorities. We will now focus more intensively on the development of the Mölltaler Gletscher resort,” said Igor Rattaj, the Chairman of the Board at TMR. Based on a mutual agreement, the purchase price of the transaction will not be disclosed.
An important piece of information concerns all Gopass SKI Season Pass holders, as the season pass will remain valid at the Ankogel Mallnitz resort. The pre-sale of resort ski passes will also continue via the Gopass platform.
The Ankogel Mallnitz ski resort (20 kilometres from the Mölltaler Gletscher resort) is located in the Hohe Tauern National Park between Carinthia and Salzburg. It offers nearly 13 kilometres of ski pistes, freeride terrain, and is equipped with one cable car and four ski lifts.
