SZCZYRK (21. 2. 2025) The Tatry mountain resorts, a.s.(TMR) company is preparing further investments in the mountain resort of Szczyrk. It was confirmed by Igor Rattaj, the Chairman of the Board, during his visit to Poland last week.
TMR has been operating the Szczyrk mountain resort since 2014.To date, TMR has invested a total of €65 million in the development and modernisation of the resort, often referred to as the “Polish Davos.” These key investments have included the construction of modern cable cars, a snowmaking system, a new restaurant, a customer centre and a bike park.

“Szczyrk is a key resort for us. In this attractive region, we have transformed a neglected and deteriorating resort into a top-class mountain destination. At the same time, it serves as an ambassador for our company in the important Polish market, helping to promote our other resorts in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, and, of course, introducing the entire world of experiences we offer through Gopass. We are pleased that the development of services in Szczyrk has gained momentum, and we believe this progress will continue. I would like to thank the local authorities, COS and our other partners with whom we have a strong and cooperative relationship in Szczyrk. This is the path that can bring further development to the town and the entire region, benefiting both locals and visitors,” said Igor Rattaj, the Chairman of the Board at TMR.
Just as substantial investments helped create a high-quality ski resort, TMR is now looking to enhance its summer offer. “Our goal is to further improve the year-round utilisation of the resort, which is why we will continue to enhance the all-season experience. We have allocated €10 million to this, with plans to further develop the bike park, but more importantly, to introduce new attractions – a year-round alpine coaster and a new relaxation zone with a giant Szczyrk sign,” said Grzegorz Przybyla, the general manager of the Szczyrk Mountain Resort.
It is a testament to the systematic and high-quality work at the resort that just five years after opening its first biking trails, Szczyrk hosted the Whoop UCI Mountain Bike World Series (downhill mountain biking). The World Cup is about to return to Szczyrk this year, taking place from 16th to 18th May 2025. Thanks to the high quality of its trails, Szczyrk Bike Park by Trekhas been included in the prestigious Gravity Card network, which covers the best bike parks across Europe.
