The number of visitors that came to the water park was increased mainly thanks to the Russian speaking clientele but also as a result of high investments made in the previous year – a new indoor hall of the tropical paradise with four pools, improved wellness premises and common areas. Tatralandia was visited by Slovak people mainly (64%), the Polish (16%), the Czech (8%) and Russian speaking clients (5%). The New Year´s Eve was celebrated in a rather untypical style – in salt sea water, dressed in bikinis, with mixed cocktails from the Barbados Bar in the hands. “Our clients forget there´s winter outside and come to our water park to relax as if it was summer. The New Year´s Eve celebration was popular mainly with kids. They were either resting on sun beds or joined the animation programme. There was a rich New Year´s Eve dinner prepared for everybody and a party until daybreak. Although snow has been avoiding us this winter, we were pleasantly surprised by families with children that came to our water park to relax, have fun and even get a suntan though a special roof of the Tropical Paradise. Those who forgot to apply sun cream on sunny days went home with extra souvenirs – red noses. And our banana tree attracted the Russian clientele mainly, who picked all its sweet fruits,“ said Igor Mráz, director of the water park Tatralandia, with a smile.

Visitors coming to Tatralandia felt more comfort in common spaces with new lockers, appreciated a new salt cave with a sauna stove and a new relaxation tepidarium. The water park has recently started to offer new Chinese “Tui Na“ massages with healing methods of traditional Chinese medicine.
