Jasná was declared Slovakia´s Best Ski Resort 2019 in a group of ten nominees and joined the group of top world ski resorts. “We are very happy to have received the prestigious award for the fifth time and to be pronounced the best ski resort in Slovakia at the World Ski Awards event. It is a big commitment and a challenge for us that inspires us to keep developing our resort, to follow the latest innovations and to set trends,” said Matej Hulej, the Jasná resort general manager.
Ski hotels were evaluated too. Grand Hotel Praha Tatranská Lomnica was awarded as Slovakia´s Best Ski Hotel 2019 in a group of five nominees. “We appreciate the award very much. It is not only an award but also confirmation of the effort and work of the whole hotel team. This has been the 4th time that we have been declared the Best Ski Hotel, which makes us believe that although we are not primarily a ski-in/ski-out hotel, we can offer ideal skiing holiday conditions to our clients. A hotel ski bus operates to nearby ski pistes, ski passes can be loaded to chip cards at the reception, there is a ski depot at disposal, various extra services are available. We feel rewarded every time that our guests feel satisfied when leaving and are happy that they have spent a quality winter holiday. The award is a proof of that too and also a big challenge that motivates us to defend it next time again,” said Jaroslav Jedlička, the general manager of Grandhotel Praha.
Skiareál Špindlerův Mlýn from the Czech Republic succeeded as well and was awarded as the Best Czech Ski Resort for the fifth time. “Being able to defend our victory for the fifth time in a row means speaks for itself. For me, the success means that our year-long hard work and effort to keep improving our services have been acknowledged. People can see and feel that our ski resort is making progress every year. We have invested a lot into modernisation this year and introduced flexible ski pass pricing. This means that skiers can buy ski passes like flight tickets comfortably at home and the sooner they buy, the better is the price,” explained René Hroneš, the general manager of the Špindlerův Mlýn resort.
