The “Golden dinner” with Petra Vlhová on Mt Chopok surprised our most successful skier a lot. The Olympic champion of Beijing 2022 received a brand new motorbike as a gift at the “Mt Chopok tastes good” event.
The regular gastronomy event known as “Mt Chopok tastes good” hosted very special guests last weekend. A “Golden dinner” was organised for Petra Vlhová and her whole team in the Rotunda restaurant on top of Mt Chopok. Every guest was given a symbolic gold medal as a souvenir and could enjoy a 6-course menu made by Chef Michal Konrád. The unique atmosphere was emphasised by the performance of the Fragile vocal group and the restaurant was decorated with large photos depicting the success that Petra Vlhová had reached so far and her way to fulfilling her skiing dreams. The long awaited surprise was presented after three courses of the gala dinner when Petra Vlhová went on the stage together with Igor Rattaj, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tatry mountain resorts, a.s. Firstly, Igor Rattaj thanked Petra for her outstanding performances in the previous season and helped her unveil the surprise. “With this, we would like to thank you for how great you represent Slovakia as well as your home resort of Jasná. We wanted to give you something that you really like and if it weren’t supposed to be skis, would else should it be? We hope it was a bull’s eye,” said Igor Rattaj with a smile on his face after unveiling a brand new motocross bike with a special golden design. Peťa was deeply touched as motocross has been one of her favourite hobbies for years and she couldn’t believe her own eyes. “I am speechless. Thank you very much because you are actually the first person who gave me a gift like this. It was a bull’s eye, really. You have probably consulted this with my brother Borko. I am often speechless, but this time I have tears in my eyes too. I appreciate it very much. Thank you. I will enjoy it for sure,” said Peťa after unveiling her brand new motocross bike.
The motorbike is going to stay in the Rotunda restaurant until 19th April where people can have a photo taken in front of it and join the competition to win a pair of Rossignol Hero Elite ST LIMITED EDITION skis signed by Petra Vlhová personally.
