The investment project proposals are focused mainly on developing restaurant and accommodation facilities, widening the offer of transport facilities and increasing the comfort of ski slopes, as well as completing and improving the quality of the infrastructure and additional services. Official permissions for the given projects have not been issued yet, the plans are being prepared only, they are undergoing very strict inspections by EIA regarding their possible impact on the environment and following other procedures in accordance with applicable laws.
Within the following five years, a new cableway is planned to be built on Mt. Chopok – in the locality of Biela Púť – Priehyba, which should relieve the busy traffic in the area of “Koliesko. Cableways should be built also in the areas of Krupová – Dereše and Otupné Luková in more than five years. The resort is doing its best to improve the quality of ski pistes and to adapt them to the actual skiers standard per hectare according to the needs of modern clients, to widen mainly the blue pistes and to increase the capacity of the snowmaking system so that the resort could have enough snow made within 10 days. All these activities aim to improve the infrastructure and additional activities also by using the latest innovative technologies and to widen the offer of accommodation facilities and gastro services.
As far as the development plans of restaurant and accommodation facilities are concerned, the resort of Jasná Nízke Tatry has introduced the project of the Jasná Centre, which is located in the very heart of the ski resort next to the lower station of the Grand Jet cable car and the Biela Púť chairlift and offers a shopping promenade that has been missing in the area. The project of the Jasná Centre includes suites with 600 beds and an indoor car park with 380 places. As for the accommodation capacity, Chalets Otupné are planned to be finished within the following five years. A new self-service restaurant called Vyhliadka (Outlook) should be opened inside the upper station building of the Lúčky – Vyhliadka chairlift. TMR intends to open a new aprés-ski Champange bar in 2017, to cover the southern terrace of the Rotunda restaurant with glass in 2018 and to build a self-service panoramic restaurant in the area of Priehyba in 2019.
