The ski season has come to an end. Except for Mölltaler Glacier in Austria, Jasná – Slovakia’s largest ski resort, had the longest-lasting season among TMR resorts, i.e. 142 days. Although it was 9 days shorter than the previous year, it still brought lots of remarkable records.

“The 2024/2025 ski season has ended in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and in most Austrian resorts. The longest season was enjoyed in Jasná, where the start was record-early already at the end of November, and we continued all the way to Easter Monday. Although the weather was challenging at times, we managed to prepare ourselves responsibly, and overall, the season in our resorts can be considered a success,” said Igor Rattaj, the Chairman of the Board at TMR, a.s.

The record-breakers of the 2024/25 winter season as of 21st April 2025* (ski season end in Slovakia) come from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. The top two places were held by the same skiers as last year, with overall winner Igor from Nová Dubnica having made 1,500 piste kilometres more than the year before. This means he completed the equivalent of the distance from Jasná across the Atlantic to Washington, D.C. (7,205 kilometres). Second place went again to Jamil from Špindlerův Mlýn (5,885 kilometres), and third place was taken by Krysztof from Wrocław, who jumped an impressive 24 places compared to the previous season with a total of 5,303 kilometres.

Skiing highlights and Gopass stats:

2,997,522 piste kilometres – total distance completed by Legends during the season – almost 8 times the distance from Earth to the Moon.

Gastronomy highlights:

The most sauerkraut soup was consumed in Jasná – 25,000 portions.

The most tea was drunk by visitors in the Vysoké Tatry mountain resort – 15,000 litres.

Pear distillate was the most popular alcoholic drink in Austrian resorts, while in Slovak resorts, it was beer.

Szczyrk was the coffee lover’s paradise – the Polish resort is the only TMR resort where coffee was the most popular non-alcoholic beverage.

Mölltaler Gletscher was the “schnitzel capital” – 8,807 portions were eaten there.

Après-ski king

The 1-day ski pass or season pass holder who spent the most euros in après-ski bars per piste kilometre was crowned the après-ski king of all TMR ski resorts. As for the qualifying conditions, at least 5 piste kilometres and 2 ski runs had to be completed in a single day.

Based on these criteria, László from Hungary was the après-ski king of the 2024/25 season, with 17.82 km and €1,061.60 spent on après-ski (that’s €59.57 per km). He was followed by Michal from Slovakiawith 18.02 km / €918.70 (€50.98 per km) in second place and Tony from the Netherlandswith 5.19 km / €197.85 (€38.12 per km) in third place.
