“Jasná is the first ski resort in Slovakia which offers such practical information. This service has been launched abroad, in the North-American resort Vail only recently. We are also joining the world of innovations which improve skiing comfort. Besides the GOPASS app, the overview of waiting times at the cableways in Jasná will be soon displayed also on LED screens and information boards at entry points such as Lúčky, Biela Púť, Koliesko, Chopok, Záhradky, Kosodrevina and Srdiečko. We suggest that all our skiers follow latest online information about the resort and choose cableways and pistes with no queues,“ said Matej Hulej, the director of the Jasná Nízke Tatry mountain resort.
The GOPASS app helps their users find their bearings in the resort, offers information about the current status on the pistes, cableway operation, weather as well as live webcam pictures, enables a safe way of buying ski passes for the ski resorts in the Tatras, tickets to the water parks in the region of Liptov, and provides an overview of special offers and restaurant facilities. “Maps of ski resorts have been added to the GOPASS app as well and will be available also offline, i.e. without data connection. We are doing everything to make the latest improvements available not only for Android but also for users of Apple´s iOS system until late February at the latest,“ added Vladimír Šarafín, the business development manager for GOPASS.
The spring school holidays are beginning and the best way of spending free days is coming to the Tatras. Children can look forward to popular ski areas, absolute beginners can entrust themselves into the hands of professional ski instructors and learn the technique of skiing properly. Less experienced skiers will love blue “family” slopes as well as Maxiland children´s arenas and entertaining Fun Zones. The spring holidays offer a great chance to strengthen family ties and set out for an unforgettable skiing holiday together. There is 40 – 75 cm of snow on the slopes in the High Tatras and very good conditions in all resorts. Mt. Chopok offers the best skiing moments with 40 – 80 cm of snow and very good conditions. According to the weather forecast, it will be sunny in the Low Tatras probably on Sunday, however, new snowfall is expected tomorrow again, which makes local Tatra people and all lovers of winter sports really happy.
