Szczyrk Mountain Resort closes record-breaking 2025/2026 winter season after 101 days

SZCZYRK, 15th March 2026 – The Szczyrk Mountain Resort has officially brought its 2025/2026 winter season to a close, marking a standout year for the Polish destination. As the current holder of the prestigious World Ski Awards 2025, the resort has further strengthened its position as a leading player on the ski map of Poland and Central Europe. Record visitor numbers, a sharp increase in international guests and the success of its free ski bus service were among the defining highlights of the season.

Season in numbers: consistency meets growth

The winter season in Szczyrk lasted exactly 101 days, running from its official opening on 5th December through to 15th March. Thanks to modern infrastructure and efficient use of favourable weather windows, the resort maintained consistent operations and delivered high-quality piste conditions throughout.

The visitor profile was particularly notable. Alongside a strong domestic market, the Szczyrk Mountain Resort recorded a record influx of international guests. The largest groups came from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with a significant rise in visitors from Germany and Hungary. This growth reflects the increasing international recognition of the brand, as well as the strength of the cross-border Gopass sales and loyalty programme.

Free ski bus service was one of the key contributors to the season success:

• Operated for 81 days.

• Averaged 48 journeys per day.

• Carried over 200,000 passengers, including skiers, residents and visitors, which significantly eased traffic congestion and enhanced the overall guest experience in Szczyrk.

The resort also saw outstanding results in ski education. The Teddy Bear Max Academy introduced a record number of children to skiing, reinforcing Szczyrk’s position as a family-friendly destination and a leader in promoting winter sports among younger generations.

Fried cheese as a culinary phenomenon

One item stood out above all others across the resort gastronomy facilities – fried cheese. This simple yet popular dish achieved near-iconic status during the season, outperforming all other menu items and becoming a staple of the Szczyrk ski experience.

The Szczyrk Mountain Resort management would like to extend its sincere thanks to:

Guests – for their record-breaking attendance, loyalty and continued trust.

Employees – for their professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment to guest safety throughout the season.

Business partners – for their support and collaboration in maintaining standards befitting one of Poland’s leading ski resorts.

Preparations are already underway for the upcoming summer season at the Szczyrk Mountain Resort, with further investment planned ahead of winter 2026/2027.
