“The winter season began in the resort of Ještěd on 15th December. We are managing to keep the pistes in a good shape and are very happy that people could ski there already before Christmas, which is not so frequent in Liberec. The biggest skiing boom was before New Year´s Eve. Most visitors were local – from the Czech Republic but there have been some from Germany and Poland as well. Snow on the slopes is a mixture of man-made and natural one, there is about 20-30 cm and the conditions are very good. A slalom race with an original title –´Your skis have a familiar face´ is planned for the end of January. Celebrities will be competing with resort visitors. All age groups but mainly children will love 3rd March 2018 and ´Devils in Ještěd´ with competitions for all family members and a lot of fun on the snow,” said Čeněk Jílek, the director of TMR in the Czech Republic.

The ski resort of Ještěd has a long sports history and tradition of an urban resort with a unique client target area. It is opened all year round and accessible from various corners of the North Czech region. The resort itself has 3 cableways and 5 ski lifts with the total transport capacity of 11,095 people/hour and 20 ha of mostly black-red (difficult) ski pistes of various widths that are interconnected by easier blue-red sections. The ski resort offers 9.2 km of ski slopes and 7.7 km of tracks with man-made snow. Please read more on www.skijested.cz.

TMR has taken up a lease of Ještěd for 10 years with an option for another 10 years. The company plans to invest over 600 million CZK in the resort in the course of 10 years.
