Once agreed with the owner of Kaskáda Golf Rezort, TMR will be in charge of the hotel, restaurant and conference centre. The golf resort operation remains in the hands of the owners. “As we are very strong in the field of operating hotels and restaurants in the Czech and Slovak Republic as well as on the European market, we hope we will raise the level of the resort and help it do high-quality business,” said Čenek Jílek, TMR COO.
Bohuš Hlavatý, TMR CEO and the Chairman of the Board of Directors considers cooperation with the Kaskáda resort another logical step of TMR in order to create a strong company that would operate golf resorts. “We can see strong potential in the whole region thanks to the connection with our mountain resorts and by expanding our offer of services. What´s more, the know-how that we have in the field of operating hotels and restaurants by using the Gopass system can result in interesting offers for all clients of the Kaskády resorts and mainly members of local clubs. Kaskáda corresponds with the quality strategy of TMR, which guarantees top-level services, and we hope we can create a unique offer for all our clients by combining the resort with Ostravice in Moravia.”
Vladimír Plašil, the owner of Kaskády considers the golf resort an inseparable part of his life. He said it had been like his own child for the past fourteen years for him as well as his colleagues. “So it is logical that when choosing a partner, the strategy and scope of cooperation were very important to us. The approach of the TMR management was professional, goal-oriented, clear and highly pragmatic. We managed to agree on matters in dispute very quickly and approved our agreements. I hope our cooperation will go on like this too. Our ski resort operation experience is undoubtedly a big advantage, not only due to the potential synergy with golf resorts but also because of the ability to grasp the golf sector as such and complete the Czech golf concentration process that has been needed so much. I hope that Ostravice and Kaskáda will be only the beginning of the big ski-golf cooperation.”
The golf resort of Kaskáda is located only 15 kilometres from the centre of Brno. The name of the complex is very fitting (cascade) because the golf course is spread on slopes and declining cascades of a wide and long valley with a brook. The more than one hundred-hectare-big area is partly lined with forests. If you are standing and playing on the opposite slope where most of the 27 holes of the course are placed, you can see most of the region, the main resort building with the reception, a bar and a restaurant. There is also a 4-star hotel, a restaurant with a terrace and a great view of the golf course, and a modern conference centre with a multi-purpose hall, bowling, a club room, a lounge and a cosy wellness centre.
TMR entered the golf segment in early October 2018 for the first time, when it signed a lease contract with Golf & Ski resort Ostravice. Mr. Jílek added that the company planned to create a holiday destination for golf lovers in Moravia in future. Although the golf course of Kaskády will be still managed by the owner, both golf resorts will be cooperating.
