The technological innovation is being tested in times of growing demand for hygiene and disinfection of spaces where more people are gathered. The Vysoké Tatry resort has decided to improve strict hygiene and disinfection standards by using a film that prevents transmission of any virus and can destroy bacteria.
“The film uses a natural and revolutionary biocompatible technology that prevents transmission of any pathogens (viruses, bacteria, yeast and moulds) and can destroy 90% of all germs on the given surface separately in one hour. On the other hand, it is not cytotoxic (dangerous for human cells) and is thus absolutely safe for people and the environment, which has been proved by various tests in certified laboratories,” explained Andrej Ďurica from Gergonne Slovakia, which supplied the film and installed it.
“Hrebienok is a very popular and visited locality. That´s why we wanted to test the innovation there. In addition to the restaurant, the foil has been installed at the funicular ticket offices and inside the Tatry Motion sports shop. The plan is to use it also on all touch surfaces inside the funicular cars in Hrebienok,“ informed Lukáš Brodanský, the manager of the Vysoké Tatry mountain resort.
The operator of the Vysoké Tatry mountain resort reminds all customers and visitors to adhere to all recommended precautions, i.e. to enter cableway transport facilities and buildings with covered mouths and noses, to use all available hand sanitizers and to keep a safe distance if possible. All means of transport as well as all facilities in the resort are disinfected regularly, all relevant regulations and recommendations of the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic are followed.
