Tatry mountain resorts, a.s. (TMR) has joined the initiative to help war refugees from Ukraine. The help will have different forms in individual countries where the company is active.
Already on the first days of the armed conflict, the company enabled family members of the present company employees from Ukraine to come if they wanted to. They were offered accommodation and necessary help.
“In the Kaskáda golf resort in the Czech Republic, we made 20 rooms available in the Kaskáda Brno hotel for 2 months. In Slovakia, we are organising comprehensive help for tens of refugees from Ukraine in cooperation with the “Tatry máme radi” civic association and plan to offer not only one full accommodation establishment but also job opportunities if the people are interested,” informed Igor Rattaj, the TMR Chairman of the Board.
“We want it to be a comprehensive form of help, not only a place to sleep in. This means taking care not only for adults but also for children and helping families to look after them. Their situation is extremely difficult and we are doing our best to help them cope with it as good as possible below the Tatras,” added Diana Migaľová, the chairwoman of the “Tatry máme radi” civic association.
“It is extremely important to make the administrative aspect of the arrival as simple as possible so that these people can use not only the offered help without problems but also become integrated and live in Slovakia as long as they need without unnecessary complications,” added Marek Schwarz, the TMR HR director.
The Szczyrk Mountain Resort in Poland has provided accommodation to families of employees and decided to dedicate the proceeds of the night skiing ski pass sale on selected days to support the refugees.
