Michał Słowioczek (Szczyrk Mountain Resort): “In today’s difficult economic times, simply operating “just mountain cableways” in the summer is absolutely not enough. Many years of our observations show that tourists are divided into several specialised groups practicing summer tourism, and we try to reach everyone with our offer. Starting from hikers, through mountain cyclists (enduro, downhill, mtb, e-bike, road bike, gravel), families with children, mountain runners or active pet lovers.
We are also prepared for the visit of “mountain sunbathers”. This is an interesting and “dynamically growing” group of tourists who appreciate the quick possibility of taking the gondola lift to the 1000-meter altitude, thanks to which they quickly find themselves on the terrace of our panoramic KUFLONKA restaurant, being able to enjoy sunbathing all day long while cooling down with cold drinks. Finally, all lovers of all forms of summer tourism meet at Hala Skrzyczeńska, in the heart of the Szczyrk Mountain Resort at the altitude of 1000 metres, experiencing a beautiful mountain adventure because everyone is united in their own way by the love of the mountains, fresh air and beautiful views.
News in the resort for the 2023summer season
For the summer we have prepared an interesting offer for all tourists, cyclists but also residents of Szczyrk. LONG FRIDAY, the extended operation of the gondola lift every Friday of the summer season until 8:00 pm is the first of the summer innovations.
Thanks to this step, residents who work until late afternoon can take advantage of the charms of the centre after work and enjoy the unforgettable sunset from Hala Skrzyczeńska and pleasant moments on the terrace of the Kuflonka Restaurant, which is open until 7:30 pm on Fridays.
From mid-July, another new change waits for tourists in Szczyrk, this time in the offer of the KUFLONKA restaurant at the 1000m level. We invite everyone to the FAMILY BRUNCH every Sunday of the summer holidays starting from mid-July! For this occasion, our Chef has prepared an exquisite menu combining late breakfast and early dinner in the form of a buffet full of snacks, desserts and hot dishes. In accordance with the principle of “eat as much as you want”, 3 hours of amazing culinary experiences and a free gondola trip await our guests. Family brunch is a completely new gastronomic offer in Szczyrk, which will surely steal the hearts of many amateurs of all kinds of culinary flavours.
In the interests of the youngest tourists, the resort has prepared extremely exciting nature activities for the upcoming holiday season: EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN. Exotic specimens up close, interesting facts about animal life and the opportunity to hold a creature will make it an amazing experience for every child who visits our Kuflonka Restaurant on 22nd July and 26th August. Free classes start at 12:00 noon and last about 45 minutes.
