Liptovský Mikuláš (2nd February 2023) The Profesia company has awarded the most attractive employers for the 11th time. The TMR company was ranked the third in the “Tourism, gastronomy, hotel industry” category.
In the past, TMR was regularly ranked among the TOP 10, and the latest and historically best ranking among the TOP 3 is especially valuable as it comes after a difficult pandemic period.
“We cannot forget that tourism has experienced hard times and it hasn’t been easy to find or keep people who can work. That’s why we do our best to offer attractive conditions to our employees to motivate them to enjoy their work for our company. As we operate mountain resorts, water and amusement parks, hotels and golf resorts, we can offer not only jobs to our employees but also a chance to spend their leisure time with families in an attractive way. Salary increase from the beginning of the year is another important factor meant to stabilise our staff situation. We have used the VAT decrease to add something for our employees, stabilise our teams and improve the quality of offered services in this way,” informed Igor Rattaj, the TMR, a.s. chairman of the board.
A record number of 119,151 people voted for the winners. They we mostly from 35 to 49 years old or from 25 to 34 years old.
“The team and people were considered the main criterion in 2022. When compared to the previous year, that’s nothing new. It has been evident for a longer time that people in Slovakia take not only the salary into account but also things related to how one feels in their workplace or if they are proud of the brand they represent,” informed Monika Košťanyová, a marketing specialist of the Profesia company.
The most frequent reasons when choosing the most attractive employers in 2022 were as follows:
1. – team and people
2. – good name of the company
3. – job security, long-term company tradition
4. – good salary and benefits.
Benefits offered to employees were considered an important argument for everybody who was voting. “In the eleventh year of our awards, it was mainly benefits that were appreciated because they help create a better balance between work and the personal life. Three non-financial benefits of this kind were ranked among the TOP 5 – flexible working hours, home office and extra holidays,” explained Monika Košťanyová.
The TMR company offers each of the mentioned benefits depending on the character of individual jobs. “The most popular benefits include a 1-year ski pass valid in 4 countries, a 1-year water park and amusement park ticket, discounts on holidays at TMR hotels, a 50% discount on gastronomy, discounts on items in our sports shops and other products,” added Marek Schwarz, TMR, a.s. human resource director.
